Intermediate Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Metegrity is looking to hire a candidate for the role of Software Quality Assurance Engineer. The head office is based in Edmonton, Canada, but a position is available in Wroclaw, Poland.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare the test strategies and plans for execution;

  • Developing and maintaining automated testing;

  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents;

  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates;

  • Studying and analyzing product requirements and new features functionalities;

  • Review and analyze specifications and design documents.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in related field;

  • 4-7 years of work experience in related area;

  • Expert knowledge of software and its functionality and requirements;

  • Strong and effective oral and written communicator (English);

  • Strong time management skills, multitasking skills;

  • Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal to no supervision;

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret functional specifications, QA test cases, help file documentation, installation instructions, etc.;

  • Experience with automation frameworks for desktop, browser or mobile applications (E.g. SmartBear: TestComplete / CrossBrowserTesting / BitBar or Selenium / Apium);

  • Troubleshooting experience with networks, Windows OS and MS Office Software.
