Dr. Ravi Krishnamurthy has over 30 years of experience in the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas industry. He has dealt with cracks in pipelines, specifically, the first liquid pipeline SCC failure in North America in the early 1990’s. He was one of the early adopters of FAD to assess cracks in pipelines. His expertise is in the application and integration of material science, fracture mechanics, and engineering to pipelines and drilling and completions equipment. Ravi has made substantial contributions to the industry specifically within pipeline integrity management, pipeline inspection technology, stress corrosion cracking, and mechanical damage management.
